Mr Mitsugi, FAO Assistant Director General Visited GGES
On 7th January, 2019, Mr Mitsugi Hiroto, FAO Assistant Director General, Forestry Department, briefly visited GGES, conducted a special seminar to be attended by international students and forest environmental policy course students and had a direct dialogue with them. At the seminar, Mr Mitsugi firstly asked the students: “Why do you think the global forest deforestation and degradation never stop in spite of years of tremendous efforts by a number of UN/international organizations?” and had a lively discussion with students. Many students had voiced to listen to his longer lecture in his next visit(photo).
