As Advisor to Student NGO MEGUKO:

Since 1999, as Advisor to Sophia students NGO group MEGUKO, I get involved in various activities. MEGUKO-(Action for Self-Reliance of Children in Asia), is a volunteer students centered group that is supported by many graduates and generous people in Japan. Our aim is to support as many children in India and Philippines to receive school education. Together with our partner institutions and partners in India and Philippines, every year we send thousands of children to school. As Advisor, I accompany them to India and Philippines to study the development issues focusing on education, poverty and gender. We also visit many sites that are relevant to environmental study as graduate students also join the study tour programme.

As a Jesuit Priest:

As a Jesuit priest working in the university, I get involved with various Catholic Church related events. I also serve as an assistant priest at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
